I’m posting this review because of a wonderful interaction I had with Maira recently. Just to clarify, I only know her from my interactions at her store - not personally. I remember Maira from the days she operated out of Dhaagay (mavis & Britannia). That was over 15 years ago. Over the years, any event (weddings, Eid’s, parties etc) I would go on the hunt for unique, quality pieces especially earrings. I would find cheap jewelry all across Brampton or conversely extremely expensive average looking pieces in missisauga/milton and would eventually always gravitate back to Maira. I was always impressed by the variety, quality (I have pieces from 5-7+ years still) and uniqueness of the designs she displayed at her store. Were some things more expensive than if I had bought from Pakistan? Sure. But I don’t live in Pakistan. And if you’ve ever ordered anything internationally you know the associated costs. For me, the price point was always justified and if it wasn’t, a little negotiating would always make me leave as a happy client. But above all, I realized what makes had built as a Pakistani business owner. I stood in her store recently and I realized it is not easy to manage it all. And I may have had an encounter with an associate which wasn’t the best (never rude, just not great) but I have always seen Maira act with grace and professionalism. As someone who has worked customer service, I wanted to take out the time to write her a deserving review. Hard work deserves to be recognized and women in business, especially Pakistani women in business deserve to be supported. As I came to write the review I saw a lot of other people expressing their disappointment and while I can’t invalidate their experiences I can definitely share mine to show that there are always two sides to a coin. Keep up the amazing work Maira. I know you operate this business like your baby and put all your energy into it including your personal time. Kudos to you!

I recently visited Precious by Maira and had the most wonderful experience! The store is absolutely beautiful, and the collection of jewelry and accessories is even more stunning in person.
