What a wonderful place! The shop itself is just a wonderful place to get tattooed. Everywhere you look there is something to look at and talk about. Trinkets galore.

I’ve gotten almost a whole sleeve from Iz here, and i’ve never left feeling worn out from being tattooed. If you want to talk Iz will talk with you, if you need a moment Iz will just tattoo silently. If you need a break we will take a break. So caring and friendly, has never made me feel like a burden. All the tattoos i’ve gotten from Iz are exactly what i’ve wanted and more. The attention to detail and the energy she brings is unmatched.

Although Iz is the only person i’ve been tattooed by, every single tattoo artist i’ve talked to at this shop has always been so kind and inviting. Definitely a lovely place to be.

There are three things I look for when trying to find the perfect shop for my tattoos. Cleanliness, kindness, and talent.

Tattoo type: One Piece Leg Sleeve
Hours of Effort: ~64
Distance from my home: ~3 hours (Indiana)

Cleanliness:
This is a brand new shop and you can tell that there was quite a bit of intentional effort to provide a space that felt both clean and welcoming.

Kindness:
I’ve gotten tattoos from people I did not vibe with at the slightest before and it’s one of the worst first world problems out there. *shudders*. As such, I always try to find someone that I really connect with. Dylan was phenomenal to work with. Easily one of the kindest dudes out there who takes the time to actually get to know you. It’s safe to say that we became friends by the end of this project and I’ll definitely be going back in the future to visit.

Talent:
Finding an excellent anime tattoo artist is tough in the Midwest. TOUGH. I did quite a bit of digging to find Dylan and I’m absolutely glad I did. I gave him the gist of what I wanted and he created such a awesome tattoo. I absolutely recommend giving your tattoo artist the artist freedom to do their own designs. It’s so worth it.

Closing thoughts:
This really is one of the best shops you can find in the Midwest. Do yourself a favor and Stay Awhile with this awesome crew. ?

Stay Awhile is a fantastic tattoo studio that is a must-visit for anyone looking for a cool and unique body art. With a team of talented and upcoming artists, the studio offers a wide range of designs and styles to choose from. The atmosphere is chill and hip, making it the perfect spot to relax and get inked. It was my first time to get hand-poked tattoo by the very talented Madison (NoMoreSadDays), and her flash tattoo designs look pretty dope. Overall, I highly recommend Stay Awhile for anyone looking for a great tattooing experience.

I had gotten a tattoo from one of the artists when she was doing a guest spot and thought she was really sweet and cool, So I had booked another flash, and accidentally sent her 2 deposits. During that visit to Calgary I had an unrelated head injury and couldn’t make my appointment because I was very concussed and had to head back home. I thought it was reasonable to ask for half my deposit back since it was never required in the first place. This artist said she would but didn’t have enough money in her bank account, only cash and would eventually get to it. I had so much brain trauma and other things going on I didn’t think much of it at the time but this was obviously an excuse. She never sent me back my 50 dollars. Just makes me upset as a young woman new into the tattoo game how it was played out☹️
