I tried Auburn Station for the first time today and had a classic/traditional men’s cut by Hani. It was the best cut I have had in years!

I am meeting such a team of professionals for the first time. For the second year, I have been taking my child for haircuts and I have realized that the team consists not only of professionals but also of honest, strong men. They listen to the client, and every client is very valuable to them. I confirmed this through my not-so-pleasant experience. But such experiences are also necessary. Thank you, Julian! Arrived, got serviced immediately. Staff were incredibly kind. Asked for a specific kind of haircut (“Warrior Cut”) and got a glorified asymmetrical mullet.

It seems this place specializes in generic haircuts that just about every barbershop in Calgary provides; a fade which wraps around the entire skull with a short and spiky cut at the top of the head. Of course this isn’t without the occasional alternate version which is slicked to the side instead, how unique.

Unfortunately, I am not a middle aged man so this did not suit me at all. I am very picky about haircuts as it’s not something I can casually change in the morning like I would an outfit. I could have to wait an hour and be treated like filth but so long at the end I get left with a good haircut, I’ll be happy.

Sadly this wasn’t one of those cases.

Sure, go to them if you’re fine with the same haircut you’ve had since you were little. Teenagers and young adults of this generation (like myself) have became increasingly more aware of the impact that hair has on overall looks so I am simply dissatisfied and won’t be coming here again.

It was my first time at the place and I came in after looking at the reviews.
Wasn't satisfied with my haircut and beard shaping and definitely not worth $80
I was very clear about what I wanted, I've been getting the same haircut & beard for years, I showed the guy my own photos to get a better understanding of what I want.
The barber seemed tired and felt like he was cutting my hair forcefully and unwillingly.
Lack of precision and failing to understand what the client wants.

I appreciate the extra service that they provided, Hot towel and applying some products on the face.
