Raymond and Angel are excellent hair stylists and the salon is conveniently located in Chinatown. The place is quite hard to find because there are no signs, but you enter through the doors labeled “233 Centre St SW” and walk up to the second floor. The price is fair and they genuinely take their time to cut and style your hair to make sure it’s the way you like it. Don’t be afraid to ask them for suggestions about what hairstyle suits you - they’re super knowledgeable too!

My boyfriend and I got both of our hair done by the staff at hair city yesterday. I would like to say first of all, wow…. Raymond is amazing at what he does. He is a very experienced stylist and it was my first time ever getting my hair dyed. He was very patient, very thorough, and very skilled. The attention to detail he has is beyond words. Also, the salon felt very comfortable. Everyone was so kind. Raymond and staff is so funny and the music you guys are playing are so good lol. I got to meet most of the staff and even the ladies were so sweet. They gave us free drinks and candy… my boyfriend and I were at the salon till pretty much closing. My boyfriend also love love loves his hair. I feel so much more confident about myself and I got so many compliments at work. We’ll definitely keep seeing you guys from now on for maintenance work. Thank you so much. I love my hair :)

Great place for an Asian style haircut. The stylists are good at what they do. Raymond is the most popular guy but costs the most. Personally I think Sally does a splendid job also, taking the time to trim your hair just right and at a cheaper rate. Always call to make an appointment ahead of time and mention the stylist you wish to have. Wait and cut times can get long during busy times and stylists juggle between a couple people.

Great place for Asian hair cut. I always ask for Angel. Her and her husband Raymond own the place and they work hard and customer service is great. They are both very talented and as are the staff they hire. There can be long waits because they are busy, so I always ask for either an early or a late appointment and try to avoid the weekends. Price is reasonable. Parking is terrible 'cause it's Chinatown. But whenever I am in Calgary and need a haircut, this is where I go.

Worst hair coloring ever…. Nothing even close to ombre, just chunks of uneven bleached hair, completely overcharged. When brought it up to them they gave me attitude as if like I’m so picky with everything. I wish I had taken a picture of the mess they made before I had another Hair salon recolor it
