Zara is so nice, welcoming and professional. Her timing is accurate. She’s dedicated for what’s in her customer benefit. I went to Zara coz I was disappointed with a few other places that couldn’t help with the right shade for my hair and after I have been doing my roots on my own. Zara was open to listen to me and work with me to get the look I love. She did highlights and full coloring, hair cut and styling.

She has a very calm demeanor while working. I wasn’t sure the first time that I liked the new look but she said “give a few days to get used to it”.
For the past 2 months I have been getting lots of compliments for my new look and hair color.

This time Zara did the root touchup and blended it with my highlights, deep conditioning and hair cut.

I love it!❤️

Went for a cut and partial highlights. She was generous with how many foils she did. I told her I wanted to looked like I had just been out in the sun. She sat me under dryer and left and came back later to check the colour. I couldn’t see very well from where she was holding the mirror so I just told her I wanted to look natural. She said, “oh! Too much!” She rushed me off sink and washed out my hair. She questioned my decision to cut my hair as short as I wanted, feeling like she was trying to persuade me otherwise. She obliged though. She styled my hair and sent me on my way. At home, I found a part of my hair that was an inch longer than anywhere else and my highlights looked like I had just walked out of the 2000s. I got home and had to completely restyle my hair. I didn’t say anything before leaving the salon because I wondered if I was overreacting with my initial reaction since the colour was such a change and my hair was styled terribly. I ended up pretty much having a panic attack at home and am having to seek out remedies on how to tone down the yellow highlights in my hair.

Update: I received an email from Zara with regards to my review.
“Hi there I saw your review and I want to apologize that you didn't like the outcome of your time with me. I take alot of pride in achieving my clients statements. It makes me feel super awful hearing that you did not like how it turned out. If you want you are most welcome to come to fix your cut and add toner to your hair free of charge. The reason why it looks so yellow is because toner is not included when purchasing the partial highlight package. You can come in tomorrow if you like from 10am to 5pm and I would be delighted to achieve your desired look. Thank you and I apologize once more for the inconvenience.”

I added a star for the response. I had already remedied my hair at home with purple shampoo so no longer felt I needed to go back and have it fixed.

I brought my dad to this barber last week to get a haircut and the barber didn’t know how to speak English and he got help from the receptionist lady explaining what my dad wanted and it was so unbelievably unprofessional and they would look at each other speaking in their language while looking at us. I don’t recommend this place because of how bad the communication barrier they have, almost like it’s specifically designed for just people who speak their language and was not the biggest part. It was just very uncomfortable
