I had the most wonderful 90 minute facial with Kaelynn, @ House of Toli, on the weekend. She was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and provided a treatment that was pure bliss. In addition, the spa is so luxurious and the entire experience was such a treat. Highly recommended!

Ali has been doing my hair for up to 7 years, she has taken my hair from Barbie blonde to dark brown to blonde with pink peak-a-boos. She has always done what is best for my hair, keeping it healthy and strong. I will be travelling to Alberta to have her do my hair from now on!

He took the time to understand my hair needs and made sure I left with everything I had envisioned and more. Plus, he’s the sweetest person ever. I went in for full highlights and a haircut on already lightened hair and unfortunately the result caused a lot of damage. My hair felt extremely fragile afterward. I lost more length than I expected and started noticing breakage right away. Little pieces were snapping off when brushing and some strands split up the shaft when gently pulled. My hair now feels thinner, weaker, and rough in a way it didn’t before.

I went back for a follow‑up and while they did a darker root with a demi to help tone things down and applied a treatment that helped temporarily, no one actually acknowledged the damage or apologized. A staff member who I thought was the owner but after looking at their website I realized is not the owner, came over, felt my hair for a second, and said it felt fine, which it absolutely doesn’t.

Rylan, the stylist, didn’t apologise and instead made me feel like I was overreacting. She said the haircut was what I had asked for, even though there were visible uneven bangs, layers and noticeable breakage. When I asked if she could just cut my hair blunt right across to clean up the scraggly broken look and uneven layers, she said that would cost the full price of another haircut because this is what I “asked for”. I needed maybe half an inch cut off to make it look cohesive as the left side has layer and the right does not. Now I have to spend another who knows how much somewhere else on top of the $370 I spent at this salon, and right before I’m in my sister’s wedding which I wanted to feel beautiful for.

Overall I left feeling gas lit and disappointed. My hair may look more toned now but it’s not healthy and this whole experience really shook my confidence. I’ve never had my hair turn out like this and I have been getting it lightened at other salons for a couple years now. If you are planning to get colour here, especially on already processed hair, I would be extremely cautious.
