I had multiple bad experiences at another salon in the neighbourhood so decided to try la Babie.
The lady who did my nails (shilac manicure ) did an amazing job! I’m so happy I found this place and would highly recommend them over some of the bigger more modern nail salons in the area!

I had been coming here at for close to the last 7 years religiously and I just experienced the worst customer service by far. And I’m here at 10:09 am. Not sure why they aren’t staffed, but I literally sat in the chair to get a shellac polish and within 2 minutes the lady told me to leave because the manager had transferred the business calls to her phone and she didn’t know about a booking for a lady that had just walked in. At no point did the customer who walked in said that she had a booking, she just said that she wanted and manicure and pedicure and she was ushered in with no problem. I guess my money wasn’t good enough, but a white lady’s money was. And I had planned to do other services like waxing as well. I won’t ever come back here. The customer service is deplorable.

I had an unsatisfactory experience during my last appointment. Last Wednesday, despite having a 6:00 pm appointment, I waited 30 minutes for my turn and got a manicure and pedicure, while the pedicure was fine, the manicure was very disappointing. My nails ended up thick, not clean, and part of the polish, along with the nail, chipped off the next day. I returned the following day seeking a solution, but unfortunately, they did nothing, saying they couldn’t do anything without the manager present. I had to fly to another city the next day, making the situation even more frustrating. Very disappointing.

I had my nails done here by a man who maid them look so bad. They looked nothing like the photo I showed him. One came loose within a week and I went to get it fixed and they said they had no time today. As well, before I went into the appointment, iPhone and told him I had gel polish on my phone and ask them if they charge to remove it and they said no. However, they did charge me at the till.

The photos, the one with the gold nail polish is what I got on, and the one with the purple is what I want. Look nothing alike.

I will never be going back again.
