Went in there today to get my engagement ring prongs tightened as it became loose. Called to asked if it’s possible to just walk in and get it check. Very accommodating and kind people. I highly recommend! Would definitely come back if I have any troubles with my jewelries!

Salvatore has been my family’s jeweller for years. He has made my custom rings for every milestone - birth, confirmation, university grad, and most recently my engagement. He’s fixed every piece of jewelry I’ve broken over the years, and the quality of every piece I’ve purchased is top notch. I’ve had one of my rings since I was a baby, and 27 years later he’s never had to warranty anything. I’ve never had a loose stone, or anything break off of something he has created. The quality of his work speaks for itself. On top of that, he is a wonderful and kind person, and you can tell he pours his heart and soul into every piece he creates. You won’t regret trusting Salvatore with your important milestones or pieces.

EDIT: saveria (sorry if i spelled your name wrong!) reached out and met with me to address the concerns and personally fixed everything - it’s shiny, even, mark-less, close to the original, and so beautiful! she even put it in a nice box for me, and they did not charge extra for bringing it back. i am leaving the country and she ensured it would be done quickly and ready before i left so i could wear it!! i added 3 pics with the update. i truly believe they stand behind their work and i am so so happy looking at my pendant now. thank you!!

i have a very sentimental pendant that i wanted to replace the part it hangs on with real gold rather than copper. i asked if he can make it exactly like before, but with real gold. he said he can do it and it will take around a month.

i also had a bent ring that he made round again right then and there for no charge. 5 stars for this

after over a month had passed with no word, i called asking for an update and they said it was ready! but they never called or left a message letting me know this

the service for the pendant was a reasonable price. the flower design is pretty and i didn’t mind the slight change, however i didn’t notice until i got home just how uneven the rest of the necklace is. the upper part above the flower is lopsided to the left, so when it hangs you can see most of the backside poking out on the right. those black lines are not shadows, but permanently on there, i think they are solder lines? the backside doesn’t really have them and sadly looks better than the front. however the inner side also has some lines. i would not have minded if these lines were only on the back, but they are at the most visible areas. lastly, i realized that the jumpring at the very top is a flat oval shape, not round and circular like my before. the longer jumpring makes the necklace sit lower and looks too long making it less dainty than before. again i asked to make it as close as possible to how it originally was and he said he can do it

i understand it is handmade so there may be some imperfections which i would not mind, but these just make it look messy not custom ? i wish i would have noticed in the shop before i paid, i do appreciate that they let you inspect the item before you say ok and pay, but now i fear it may be too late without paying more :(

overall salvatore is very kind and talkative, setting reasonable prices, but i am disappointed with the lack of attention to detail. i hope this can be rectified and if so i will update my review as i want to give 5 stars if i can!

I had a gold semi-mount ring manufactured somewhere else and one centre stone to be inserted. I came to S.S. Goldsmithing and asked if the stone can be set into this semi-mount ring. The jeweler Mr. Spadafora said he can do that; I left the ring and the stone to this jeweler.
When I picked the ring three days later, I found that the stone was inserted crooked. The stone was set not fixing it down tight to the stone’s nest, it was fixed hoovering above the setting. When I consulted with other jewelers, they told me that this is a bad practice to hoover the stone over the setting, as any hitting of the hard surface can break the stone, as it is not fixed tight to its base. Also, the stone was damaged, as it was rubbed on the sides. The story with the damaged stone was addressed by me bringing it to a lapidary who could re-facet the stone. The cost of re-faceting was covered by S.S. Goldsmithing. The re-faceted stone was re-inserted by S.S. Goldsmithing and still crooked, as the prong were already bent and cut in this crooked way. Unfortunatelly, this was not corrected by S.S. Goldsmithing.
Every time I am wearing this ring on my finger, this crooked position of the stone makes me upset. I am really upset bringing this job to S.S. Goldsmithing. Making this ring cost me almost $1000, but with the crooked stone it looks like a joke. This is how a beautiful ring idea can be easily ruined by a jeweler.
Three stars from me mainly because the re-faceting of the stone was covered by S.S. Goldsmithing in that dispute; the overall stone setting is horrible.
