Love love love this salon. I was so nervous to find a new stylist to have my color done - specifically balayage. The owner is absolutely fantastic and her protégée Alyssa is truly phenomenal. They both take the time to explain exactly what they are doing using photo examples with NO surprises! This is my new GO-TO hair salon. Great parking out back as well so I don’t have to stress to find a parking spot on 17th. You will not be disappointed. But book in advance they are busy!

Medina is amazing! I got my hair colored for the first time and Medina was very knowledgeable. She educated me through the process, booked a consult with me first prior to the color appointment so we could talk through what I wanted and the end results were beautiful. Even the products she recommend are great. Thank you!

Medina has been great with my hair and I would not trust it with anyone else! Whether it’s full color, highlights, lightening and or toning or a simple cut, she always does better than I ever envisioned for my hair. I can not recommend her enough! Her personality and the salon atmosphere itself is great, I always leave happier than when I arrived!

I have been going to see Medina (The owner of @salonseventeenyyc) for all my haircuts, colors and style advice for the last 10 years. She is absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable and understands each of her clients unique and particular needs. She always gives me honest suggestions of what will work best for my hair and has never steered me wrong. Also, I really enjoy going to Salon Seventeen as it's such a clean and modern vibe, and very relaxing. You'll love it!!
