Drove all the way from Red Deer to Airdrie to have my tattoos done at this place due to the absolute best feedback from people I know about the artist/s in this establishment.
I had the privilege of meeting my tattoo artist Felipe. I must say he was absolutely amazing. It was like he knew exactly what my vision was and created it perfectly ... I will definitely return and Felipe thank you so very much your kindness and support it will be forever appreciated. Highly recommend Human Kanvas at the Yankee Valley location

I had Rob as an artist! This was my very first tattoo and I had a very specific ornamental/gothic/wing style in mind for my back. He was AMAZING and worked with me to create several iterative designs, and completely brought this vision to life! The process was relatively comfortable, and he narrated through all of it as well, which was much appreciated as I was nervous getting my first tattoo. I absolutely love the final result, and will be going back for other pieces in the future!

I absolutely adore the artists from Human Kanvas. I’ve had work from a handful including Rob, Ash, Dawn and Kathy. All are prime in design, composition, execution and making the experience so enjoyable.

However the piercing team could use a bit of working over. A little over 2 years ago I went to get the right side of my nose pierced. I already had the left done so I understand that making the piercings level and complimentary to one another may be a challenge. A lady named Schantarra did this piercing for me. I had to have it re-pierced 3 times because the placement was off.

I then came by to get some jewelry swapped and a lady by the name of Tiff helped me. If you could call it that. She seemed so uninterested and bored with life itself, it was uncomfortable as hell. She behaved like it was an inconvenience for her. I chalked it up to a bad day.

Then about a month ago I made an appointment to get my daith pierced. It was with Tiff again. Yet again she seemed like it was an inconvenience. The only time she spoke nicely to me was when I flinched as she pushed the needle through the last bit of cartilage.

In this line of business you have to make clients feel comfortable. Body modification is a big deal and not everyone is so relaxed about it. It is the artists job to help ease their clients.

10/10 for tattoo
8/10 for piercings

I got my one sided snake bite piercing done here today (I will update once it is healed). I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quick peircing, you know what you want and have done your research. If you go in as the first time getting pierced my piercer, Tiff, didn't seem super interested in conversation, which isn't bad in my opinion. I would say, coming from a small town girl I didn't particularly feel welcome and felt like i was inconveniencing my piercer at times.
