I have super fine, feather like hair and I have one peak a boo row which was recommended to me by the team here at The Extensionist. This is such a life hack and I have never been happier with my hair. I’ve had the hair now for a year and it’s still going strong. I get touch ups every five weeks with tiff who is the BEST - absolutely no pressure and it’s so nice to have the routine of coming to her. I’ve recommended this place to multiple friends and I will always be a customer. Thank you Tiff and The Extentionist!

I’ve been seeing Amanda for the past 1.5 years, and I can honestly say she has completely transformed not just my hair, but my entire experience with extensions. When I first came to her, my hair was in a very fragile state - extremely bleach damaged, thinning, and broken from past extension nightmares that were high-maintenance, wildly expensive, and only made things worse. from the very first appointment, I knew Amanda was an expert. She matched and blended my extensions perfectly, despite the challenges of my hair’s condition. For reference, I had shoulder length (very broken, very thin) hair and my goal was hip length , she made it happen seamlessly. The quality of the hair she uses is phenomenal. I only just had my first new set of hair, but after 1.5 years, my original set still looked and felt amazing. My four-week touch-ups are unbelievably easy. I’m in and out in about 30 minutes which truly makes the process as low maintenance as possible. Unbelievably, my natural hair has grown SO much and feels so much healthier, it’s genuinely the best work out there. Amanda is also so accommodating with scheduling and makes it easy to get in with work friendly hours. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable. Ruby, her sweet dog, is the absolute cherry on top. And shoutout to Madeleine who is also absolutely incredible, her scalp massages during a shampoo are UNREAL. They are SUCH a dream team and my visits are always filled with snacks, giggles and I leave feeling like I just left a hang out with good friends.

I truly can’t say enough good things. I feel incredibly lucky to have found The Extensionist and I will never go anywhere else.

I am on my third install of Diamond Series with the extensionist, I started with a manageable 100 grams at 16 inches, then upgraded to 150 grams at 20 inches and I am currently wearing 200 grams at 22 inches! The quality of the hair literally amazes me, it stays soft for so long. It’s given my confidence the CRAZIEST boost, they’re amazing quality, each set has lasted me a FULL 12 months which is astounding as I’ve worn every possible method of extensions and they’ve only lasted 3-6 months at most. The price tag is a little hard to swallow at first but as long as you see it as an investment it becomes so so worth it. Once you hit your third install you receive an awesome discount on ALL future extensions packages. I’m always seeing awesome deals and free extension giveaways which I think is awesome! They’re making their hair more accessible for people within the community, we stan a company who cares!! The owner Megan is truly a peach, we’re from the same hometown as well so I love love love supporting a local business woman. I have received my months touch ups, installs and colour services from both Ashley’s, kaylee, katlyn, along with jenna and katie in edmonton and all of these women have done an amazing job and made me feel great, they’re all wonderful people and it’s never awkward sitting in the chair for as often as I do! Especially considering I have had a few hiccups along the way but nothing that couldn’t be solved! Everything has always, always been reprimanded and they made sure I was comfortable enough coming back to the salon, when I gave them a second chance I was not disappointed. All of the photos attached are from each install, I’m already excited for my next install!!!

2-June-2025 I just wanted to do a quick update. I am still a client of The Extensionist in Calgary and am still extremely happy with the results. I see Amanda and she is amazing at getting my hair looking great. I've tried a few different processes that they offer and will probably continue to change it up from time to time.

I am so happy that I found The Extensionist. I had been using extensions that use bonds and not only were they ridiculously expensive, but it was clear that they were destroying what little hair I had left. Since coming to The Extensionist (for about 1.5 years), my hair is finally getting back into shape after the previous damage. Plus, it looks amazing! There are so many great things I can say about this place. Their staff is friendly and well-trained. If you cannot see your regular person, it's okay because any one of them can step in and do a fabulous job! They will color match your hair, trim it up to blend perfectly with the extensions, and even style it before you leave. I love that the hair is re-usable. I have replaced my extensions only once. I even had a hair piece made for those days when I'm in a hurry and still want to look my best. And for an added bonus, they are dog friendly and I always get to meet furry friends when I am there.

Oh. My. Goodness. The quality of service and attention, the aesthetic, the extensions themselves and the variety of colours to pick from, convenient parking located in a parkade (you know how 17th is), and the general kindness/chillness of the staff. If I could rate more stars I would.

Today I was 15 minutes late to a 30 min appt, (obvs wouldn’t suggest this as to respect the employees and demands of their schedule), but I was able to be accommodated and didn’t get s*it on about being late - I wish I caught the name of the girl who did my touch up, but she’s from Kelowna and has black hair. She did a great job!

I also want to add that I have a pretty bad math disability, and it took me about 15 minutes to pay the first time I came because there was a promo going on. Megan (one of the founders who did my original install) took the time to help me with payment and made me feel comfortable and not judged. Same with when it came to discussing tougher topics surrounding trichotillomania, self image and anxiety. This place is so much more than a salon!

My hair has never looked better. Thanks ladies ?
