I came to Sean with an idea for a custom ring, and the short story is he executed it perfectly. I was able to bring in my own center stone and he sourced two perfectly complementary side stones. I was picky with the execution of the design because of the bezel setting and the symmetry I envisioned, but he needed no nitpicking — he is a total perfectionist with the skills to back it up. He’s also just a very pleasant human to chat with, and I hope to return someday for more custom projects.

My wedding ring and bands are black rhodium plated, and the plating was definitely fading (and to boot one of the bands needed to be resoldered onto the main ring). Sean was through, and responsive both by email and phone, and he patiently explained the process of plating and used his camera and magnifying equipment to show me what he would be doing with the ring. The “after” pictures don’t do the work justice; the ring is shiny, and soldered band is seamless, and the black rhodium plating is beautiful just like the first day I received the ring. Thank you, Sean, for your attention to this work; it is a great relief to know there’s a craftsperson who can do this black rhodium in the city!

I had Sean make a right hand ring for me with an antique diamond I purchased elsewhere. From initial consultation to go over the design, updates throughout the months (I had lots of time and didn’t really set a deadline), to the final product… I was very happy with the entire process!

I had very specific ideas on how I wanted the ring to look, and so I shared a sketch and some photos via Pinterest, and Sean made it happen. He made a computer model of the ring and 3D printed a mold for me to view before moving onto casting the ring.

Prices are very reasonable and competitive and I was able to bring some old yellow gold jewelry handed down to me to have it melted down and cast into the new ring. Superb quality all around - customer service, polishing and engraving!
Sean is an awesome guy and a great person to chat with. It’s like meeting an old friend to catch up whenever I make an appointment to see him.

Highly recommended you support this small local business for your jewelry needs. I find it great to be able to directly deal with the goldsmith making your piece vs. Having to work through a sales person because you can communicate exactly what you want, make changes and see the changes directly from the person doing the work. I’ll be back to have other stones made into another piece. Thanks Sean for my lovely ring!
