I’ve been coming to Hedkandi Salon for my blonde highlights and I can’t say enough good things about Tori! She is incredibly talented and my highlights always turn out exactly how I want them. I also have the best experience during my appointments since she’s so kind and easy to talk to. Highly recommend!

Ruby Cook is the best hairdresser I have ever had. Without fail she has brought my visions to reality, while keeping my wild ideas in check. Truly I will never let another touch my hair it doesn’t matter if she moves I would fly out just for her to do my hair. She is kind, welcoming and makes the appointments go so quickly just because of how much fun we end up having.

I am very grateful to have met Sara at Hedkandi Bankers. She quickly became a valued partner on my journey back to healthy hair. My first appointment with Sara was spring of 2024. I had badly broken hair after years of overlapping highlights. Sara is a superb listener. She understood the issues and made the right recommendations to help me acheive my hair goals. Now early 2025, I have healthy hair and am still able to highlight appropriately while growing my hair. I love the colour and the cut and I have styling options. So happy! Thank you to Sara and her Team!

When I booked for a hair colouring I was given a base fare of $65. I got a bleach and tone on short hair (not even past my ears). Without any communication or transparency, when I paid at the end it was $200 (before tip).

I've had my hair bleached, then coloured, and toned and paid around $130. At that time I was told the price up front.

So I was shocked by the price, partly because it was higher than I've seen other places and mostly because there was no communication to set the expectation.

Otherwise, the service and atmosphere were good. I'm happy with my hair. Just more transparency so a person doesn't jump an extra $135 from base price.

Hedkandi has gone so downhill. Booked in with a new stylist because mine left and she didn’t have any weekend availability at her new salon.

Had a whole convo about wanting to be more blonde, specifically “bright blonde, not ashy”. While she was foiling she was telling me how I’m going to be “so blonde” which made me super happy. Except when she was done I literally left with hair BROWNER than when I came in. Photo on the left was my before, photo on the right is how I left. She said she did it that was because I didn’t want ashy? Makes zero sense, because you can be very blonde and not ashy. She offered to purple shampoo me as if that was going to fix it. (I purple shampooed it yesterday and used a purple mask that I left on my hair for 30 min and it’s still awful, especially the front pieces which are orange, she didn’t leave the bleach on long enough). I also asked my stylist 5 TIMES how she is with blunt bobs, she said “they’re the easiest” ok- so then why when she began cutting did she ask if I wanted layers? That’s not a blunt bob…then she cut one side way longer than the other and I had to point it out, and she struggled to fix it. It’s still longer, but not nearly as noticeable as it first was. This stylist shouldn’t be charging hundreds of dollars when she should still be an assistant. I felt like I was in hair school, not at an upscale salon. I also asked the guy that rang through the transaction to email me the receipt, and he said “oh ya” what do you know- no receipt was ever sent. For some reason they hate sending receipts as this has happened to me many times before. I won’t be coming back ever.
