Just a short note to say thank you to Wissam, the stylist whom I consider to be a ``master`` of cutting and styling hair. Wissam listens to what I want ,and he never fails to give me the perfect cut because he understands what cut best suits my hair texture and face. If you want a great cut and style, I highly recommend Wissam. His staff is very professional too.

I went to Hue for the first time yesterday and she is absolutely wonderful! My hair had multiple different tones in it and was very damaged from years of colouring it at home. She gave me the best hair cut I have ever had and managed to even out my base colour and still give me ash beige highlights without damaging my hair or having it turn an orange tone. Not realizing how much work it was going to be I didn't book the correct service but she still fit me into her schedule and stayed late to complete the job. Thank you so much Hue! Highly recommend )

Moved to Calgary 2 months ago and was nervous about finding a new stylist. I found Collective Salon and Spa through the Mind body app and decided to try them out. The space itself is big, it's super clean and the receptionist to the stylists were very welcoming. My stylist was Hue Nguyen! I showed her a picture of what I wanted, the trendy lob. She really took her time cutting and putting texture into my hair. I honestly only expected her to cut and blow dry my hair, but she curled it into pretty waves just like the picture I showed her. I was super impressed as this is beyond what i had expected. I will definitely be making another appointment! Thanks Hue!

I booked a last minute appointment with Hue and asked for a shoulder-length bob cut with bangs and ended up with a chin-length pageboy haircut (look it up, seriously). There are absolutely no layers so it lays like a mushroom on my head. It’s so short that there is no opportunity to fix it for at least a few months while it grows out, and I can’t put any of it up. She had me turned away from the mirror the whole time and kept tilting my head forward while cutting which I found odd. I was so shocked I just paid for the haircut ($80) and walked out. I barely remember leaving the salon, I don’t think it really hit me until this morning. I have my office Christmas party tomorrow and I’m dreading having to watch everyone pretend to like my cut. I’m genuinely considering skipping the party to defer the embarrassment for a few days. Feels like a cruel joke. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
